Employment Status: Regular Part Time Hiring Range:$10.56 - $12.69/hr Description
Under the direction and supervision of the Program Director, the Camp Site Director I will be responsible for the overall management and leadership of the camp program and supervision of camp staff. The Director is to lead and motivate camp staff to provide a safe camp program, which fosters children’s social, spiritual, physical and intellectual growth.

Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-3 years college preferred, as well as practical work experience (3-5 years) in day or resident camping or significant related experience working with children preferred. Will have an understanding and knowledge of children, their behavior and development. Must have ability to plan, organize and implement a day camp program and work as a team member and coordinate with other directors in contributing to the goals of the program. Willingness to model and use age-appropriate discipline techniques according YMCA guidelines for behavior management and ability to give and take direction. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, Program Director, and other staff.

Must have, or the ability to obtain, CPR and First Aid certifications, Child Abuse Prevention training, Safety & Risk Management, New Employee Orientation training and other required day camping training prior to the start of camp or no later than 30 days (with approval) after camp begins. Emotional maturity, flexibility, problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
