Warehouse Coordinator - Night Shift

Facilitate consistency and continuous improvement initiatives across all shifts within the Distribution Center.
Provide leadership in Safety, Quality, and Service through the use of continuous improvement. Ensure all DC personnel perform their jobs in a safe manner complying with company safety standards and rules. Take immediate corrective action when necessary. Assist in making sure all near misses are reported and investigated Provide productive direction to operatives during equipment downtime, system downtime, etc. Direct and assist operatives in the urgent response to all issues creating downtime and coordinate the necessary resources to minimize the downtime. Communicate downtime issues to Maintenance, Supervision/Management. Utilize the appropriate support personnel to resolve issues effectively and efficiently Ensure all team members are trained to perform the job function for which they are assigned and have signed off on the most current procedures. Ensure all team members can effectively perform all necessary warehouse functions, quality, safety, and material control functions including accurate preparation of daily reports. Assist the Supervisor in developing, training, and mentoring Associates through regular feedback, participate in group decision-making, foster open communications, and assist in setting priorities. Ensure compliance to company policies, cGMP's and SOP’s. Maintain high levels of cGMP compliance and expect that all 5s principles are followed including material flow and min/max expectations. Ensure 5s audits are conducted and results posted Ensure the accurate completion of required documentation and per prescribed SOP’s and cGMP’s. Assist in non-conformance investigations/CAPA for finished goods, raw material, and customer complaints. Communicate all issues to Shift Supervisor. Lead and facilitate shift level team meetings using specific subject agendas to inform DC personnel of upcoming schedule, job specifications, daily production goals, etc. In conjunction with Supervisor and/or Distribution Center Manager address performance and/or job related behavior issues. Categorize problems and differentiate between mechanical problems, and/or operational problems and ensure that these issues are resolved in a timely manner. Guide and assist DC personnel in the urgent response to all issues creating downtime bringing to bear the necessary resources to minimize the downtime. Assist DC personnel when necessary to maximize shift performance. Ensure accuracy of department reporting. Verify daily/weekly results and communicate to all associates. Provide support in the absence of the Distribution Center Manager and/or supervisor. Communicate urgent scheduling issues with the Transportation Department. Investigate and report all accidents and near misses that occur in the DC. Other duties as assigned.
Additional DC Activities Know or learn WMS work queue and clerical functions Assist DC personnel with inventory, repack, and cycle counts, as needed Assist Operatives with Loading/Unloading/Case picking/Housekeeping Capable to perform warehouse operator functions when required.
Requirements EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: • High School Diploma or GED • Associates degree in business or supply chain management preferred or equivalent experience REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: • General understanding of distribution principles. • Skilled in the use of PC’s including supporting software such as excel, word, and Warehouse Management programs. • Displayed leadership skills, influence skills, team leadership, and ability to self-generate improvement ideas. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • 2-3 years DC or warehouse experience. • 2+ years leadership experience preferred. SKILLS/ABILITIES: • Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal • Handles conflicts in professional manner • Willing to work overtime and weekends as required • Willing to train on CGMP requirements and company policies and procedures
